THE ROCKIN MOCKERS BIO

The year was 1964 ….the movie…..A HARD DAY’S NIGHT.   It is the embassy scene. and a reporter asks RINGO STARR,  “Are you a mod. or a rocker?”    Ringo answers dryly, “No, actually, I’m a mocker.

And so the name “ROCKIN MOCKERS” was born.

Originally, the name, penned by HAL SINGER,  leader, and founder of THE SIXTIES SENSATION, was an alternative name for The Sixties Sensation, but Hal reserved the name to create an alter-ego band that would be free to play every era, including the sixties, but also a variety of other era’s and genre’s, including classic rock, county, blues, and oldies.

In fact  THE ROCKIN MOCKERS may best be described as a CLASSIC ROCK/ VARIETY band.

Included in their repertoire are such varied numbers as….Guitars and Cadillacs  (Dwight Yoacham)   All Star  (Smashmouth)     The Thrill Is Gone  (B B King)   and  Stray Cat Strut  (Stray Cats)

Other artists covered are, of coarse,  THE BEATLES,   THE EAGLES,  ELVIS PRESLEY,   BILLY IDOL,  GEORGE STRAIT…. JIMI HENDRIX……DAVID BOWIE…and ELTON JOHN.

If it’s ROCKIN….the MOCKERS are playin’ it.  And playin’ it true to form!
